South West Fitness & Lifestyle Round Up

Wow, what a day!

We’d like to begin by thanking everyone involved; organisers, coaches, sponsors and participants – our vision of providing happiness in a time of uncertainty was most definitely achieved!

The virtual day was kicked of by Ben & Jon from Crossfit Chew Valley with a workout, they did a great job of getting everyone moving, ensuring each exercise was scalable to all. Following the first workout was a was Funfit’s Simon, who hosted a live workout for children. This allowed the day to be inclusive for all the family!

We then did our first talk of the day covering how to lose weight during this current disruptive period. We educated participants on how weight loss works and how to implement it, along with talking through the typical journey of a BDL 1-2-1 coaching client.

The next seminar was handstand training with Luke Davies, a very useful and informative session that will no doubt have helped participants massively improve their technique. After the handstand training, we were live again with a cook along from our recipe book, we did a family favourite; BBQ Chicken Pizza! It was a great chance to reiterate that dieting should not be restrictive and also have a chit chat.

The final part of the event was a live Q&A Panel discussion, Jay was joined with Ben (Crossfit Chew Valley) and coach Emma, followed by a pub quiz.

A fun filled and educational day for sure, we plan to bring something even better for next year so watch this space, for now we will leave you with some of the feedback we’ve received:
